Advanced Concrete Design, Inc. was founded over 10 years ago in Santa Fe, New Mexico by husband and wife Scott Mutz and Kristie Thomas. Advanced Concrete Design, Inc. is licensed, bonded and insured. We have been committed to the highest level of quality since the day we opened our doors. As the technologies and techniques of decorative concrete have grown, we have greatly expanded the services that we offer and now include:

Quality Textured Stamping:
Stamped Concrete is a process by which color, texture and patterns are placed in freshly poured concrete to create a desired look and finish. Often, Stamped Concrete is used to simulate far more expensive materials. Stamped Concrete can take on the look and feel of brick, slate, tile, or cobblestone for a fraction of the cost. With its low maintenance, unmatched durability and enduring beauty, Stamped Concrete is proven to be one of the most cost effective, decorative concrete surfacing systems in the world.

Beautiful Acid Staining:
Acid Stain is not a paint or coating agent, rather, it´s a coloring process involving a chemical reaction. A solution made with water, acid and inorganic salts reacts with minerals already present in the concrete, the result of this reaction is color. It works very well on new or old concrete, and we´ve seen impressive results over decorative polymer overlays as well as self-leveling products. Acid Stain is a very durable product if properly protected with sealer or wax, and it can be applied to both interiors and exteriors.

Sand Textured Concrete:
A beautiful concrete finish with endless design possibilities. One of the primary advantages this form of decorative concrete is the texture of the finish. Compared to some other concrete techniques, this finish is consistent and prevents slipping.

Colored Concrete:
Integral color is desirable for a broad range of vertical and horizontal applications. When producing integrally colored concrete, the coloring agent is added during mixing and disperses through the entire concrete slab. This means the slab retains the integrity of the color even if chipped, worn or saw-cut. Integral coloring products are supplied in dry-powdered formulations or in liquid dispersions. Recent advances in batching technology have made liquid coloring increasingly popular.

Artistic Sandblasted Stencils:
Artistic Sandblasting Stencils allow you place any design you can imagine on to concrete. Advanced Concrete Design Inc. offers a number of stencils or can have custom stencils made for you. Logos, medallions and any original artwork can now be placed on to new or old concrete.

Heated Driveways:
Heated water is pumped through small high density tubing that lies beneath the concrete. The water is circulated through manifolds that are located within your house, typically a garage or pump room. Heated drive ways help to prevent freezing. The freezing - melting - refreezing process is the number one cause of concrete deterioration.
